A year ago, Mom Violy told Carmina that her US passport would expire in October 2025. Carmina mentioned she could renew it online, just like she did with hers. It’s payday, the perfect time to treat ourselves, especially with the ever-changing weather in the Philippines. For fans of traditional Pinoy desserts , there’s now a new twist to enjoy your puto bumbong . Carmina ordered’  Wendy's Philippines ’ latest offering—the Putobumbong Frosty —available in two sizes: 6oz for 87.85 pesos ($1.49) or a tub for 125.35 pesos ($2.12).  She opted for the tub, skipping the smaller size entirely. The classic puto bumbong, made from purple sticky rice with grated cheese and latik sauce , gets an upgrade in Wendy’s version, which adds leche flan , rice crispies, and creamy vanilla frosty. A sweet treat perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Carmina preferred it served separately, as the puto bumbong is hard and chewy to eat. I guess I’m just used to having it without ice cream. Carmina was planning to get a haircut on November 12, 2025, at Headway Salon in Tomas Morato . I called Mom Violy to see if she wanted to have lunch together and let her choose the restaurant. Carmina informed Mom Violy that she would visit her home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She asked if Mom Violy wanted to go out for lunch and mentioned needing to do some grocery shopping due to an upcoming big storm. Carmina planned to visit the newly opened Ikea at Trinoma on All Souls' Day , a Philippine holiday , thinking the mall would be less crowded. Carmina went grocery shopping with Mom Violy at Robinsons Magnolia last week. I bought the Oreo just because it looked interesting, having no idea who Baby Monster was at the time.  After getting home, I took some videos and pictures, edited my video, and later discovered on social media that it’s a popular band in South Korea that collaborated with Oreo. Sometimes we learn new things without realizing what we’ve purchased is trending—people often buy the cookies just for the card inside. Carmina only discovered it by posting on her YouTube channel. Have you ever seen a decoration your parents kept, carrying it with them from another country or a previous marriage? Carmina realized that parents often hold onto items they've purchased in the past. While browsing Greenhill's shopping center, she stepped into  Mystic Gems by Bensani and saw so many nostalgic items that reminded her of growing up.  I pointed out to Mom Violy that she had a similar crystal tree decoration at home. She said it was forty years old and already dirty. The saleslady explained it could be cleaned easily with soap and water.
