Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Beating the time before someone picks up the food for Mom Violy to drop off at her home. One hour ago Carmina was asking Mom Violy what time will her friend pick up her food. Mom Violy said between 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Carmina asked Mom Violy is there any other food she wanted to add. Mom Violy replied anything you can give. Carmina felt there was enough time to place one more order asking if Mom Violy wanted a Vietnamese sandwich. Carmina had placed the order at Pho Hoa Vietnamese Noodle House for a BBQ Pork Banh Mi. The only thing I had requested not to have the bread toasted a way it won't be hard for Mom Violy to eat. Carmina had placed the BBQ Pork Banh Mi plastic container with extra camote fries that came from my meal. BBQ Pork Banh Mi includes camote fries for PHP 234.00 ($4.68).
