Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Lunch with Mom Violy at Classic Savory

Mom Violy was telling Carmina she hasn't dine inside at  Classic Savory . Mom Violy had ordered her sweet and sour fish fillet , Yang Chow fried rice and lechon Macao . Having lunch with our parents, sometimes they can’t remember the restaurants they’ve visited.  Creating memories for them can mean letting them dine in and recall the food they usually order or encouraging them to try something new.  The branch we dined at was located in Ali Mall , Cubao, Quezon City . In the car Carmina had pointed to Mom Violy and Tita Edna where we'll be having our lunch at  Manmaru Japanese Restaurant a soft opening second branch in the Philippines. Both of the seniors were very happy to see the saying yes it looks like we are in Japan seeing there are a lot of people eating inside. I was told there is usually a long wait.  Why I had suggested Mom Violy to come early since Manmaru open at eleven in the morning. What does Manmaru Japanese Restaurant have to offer? They have three menus handed to you. Mom Violy decided to have her favorite chicken teriyaki and adding 90.00 pesos for the lunch menu which includes miso soup, salad, radish and beansprouts. Tita Edna ordered the salmon ramen soup along with adding 90.00 pesos to her meal. Carmina wanted to try their hotpot udon. Th...
