Carmina's review on Summit Hotel in Tacloban

Last year my dad had informed me he will be getting married in Tacloban the place his wife grew up in the Philippines . My dad said he would like all of his family members to attend since they couldn't go to the one in the United States. Carmina booked her flight during Philippine Airlines ’ year-end sale at the start of 2026. I told my dad about my travel plans for a short trip from Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19. My cousins also asked for my flight details so they could book the same flight. My dad said he will book my room for me sharing with two family members at  Summit Hotel in Tacloban . Sending me the confirmation booking information for my reference.  As the months went by, before I knew it, the big day had finally arrived—a rare event that doesn’t happen too often. Everything had been carefully planned by my dad and his wife, Tita Cielo. When we arrived, the check-in time was 2 PM, but there was a mix-up with the rooms. Some were ready for check-in, but the one...

Pancit Canton and other food second time around in Ha-Inan

Duty calls Carmina's mom is asking for food to order the two weeks supplements this time her daughter recommended a new place to try. Carmina was able to give her mom three pieces of the creamy chicken empanditas to let her try last week. Carmina's mom liked it asked to order her more. Carmina decided to order for the twelve pieces we're small in size giving enough to eat for PHP 208.00 ($4.16). Carmina had mentioned to her mom about the fresh lumpia being PHP 175.00 ($3.50) tasting really good. I had placed it in a plastic container being delivered to her home since it was placed in a small carton. Carmina knows her mom too well she will ask for extra sauce note each sauces is five pesos each additional in the meal you will receive three individual sauce for the Lumpiang Sariwa. Carmina had screenshot the menu to her mom to let her decide what else she wanted to try and she wanted the pancit canton for solo size PHP 90.00 ($1.80).  We'll see the outcome of my mom when ...

Chick n' Walfdorf Salad from Veggie Guys

You don't have veggies in your home Carmina went ahead and ordered her salad from Veggie Guys food that are all healthy for you. I remember a relative telling me she loves to order Walfdorf Salad in the United States while she was explaining the ingredients lettuce, apple, grapes, walnuts, celery and mayonnaise. I felt I wanted to try it too but in the Philippines only the vegan way. Carmina had placed her order through Grab application on her phone to have the rider pick it up for PHP 307.00 ($6.14) not including delivery fee and tip to the rider. Highlight the Chick n' Walfdorf is made of tofu and it does have the same ingredients I have mentioned in the beginning just it is sliced small. The Chick n' Walfdorf Salad taste different being vegan but nothing bad especially if you're use to eating plant based food. At least you can consider finding food when you're a vegetarian you won't have a hard time visiting or living in the Philippines. There are varieties o...
