Carmina's review on Summit Hotel in Tacloban

Last year my dad had informed me he will be getting married in Tacloban the place his wife grew up in the Philippines . My dad said he would like all of his family members to attend since they couldn't go to the one in the United States. Carmina booked her flight during Philippine Airlines ’ year-end sale at the start of 2026. I told my dad about my travel plans for a short trip from Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19. My cousins also asked for my flight details so they could book the same flight. My dad said he will book my room for me sharing with two family members at  Summit Hotel in Tacloban . Sending me the confirmation booking information for my reference.  As the months went by, before I knew it, the big day had finally arrived—a rare event that doesn’t happen too often. Take your taste buds on a journey with Mom Violy to Luk Foo Cantonese - where flavor meets tradition!

Mom Violy was craving for Cantonese cuisine the place we usually dine is at  Luk Foo near Puregold Grocery Store. Upon entering Luk Foo Cantonese Carmina noticed the front door and inside the dining area looks different. Even if it has been one year since we last dine inside can notice looks fancy. The menu was also different giving us a glance.  Mom Violy already knew what to order without looking at the menu. Her usual order has always been beef with broccoli and pancit. Carmina wanted to try the Hot Prawn Salad often something we usually order when I was young in California. Family member requested for lechon Macau and yang fried rice. Being a family, we get to try with all assorted food which Mom Violy was shocked to see all the dishes on the table. We had a lot of leftovers. We had also received on the house dessert chilled almond jelly and fruit salad. The bill was 2,641.00 pesos ($46.35) not including tip. We also had Siomai wasn't able to take a picture since we're al...
