When the longing for authentic Pinoy dishes strikes in the U.S., Isla Grand stands ready to transport your taste buds back to the Philippines.

Carmina is traveling to the United States to spend time with her family. My dad planned a family gathering for Mother's Day at their favorite Pinoy restaurant . Since reservations aren’t possible, we arrived an hour early to ensure we could get a table for twelve before everyone else showed up. As my dad approached Isla Grand , the branch we visited in Pleasant Hills, California , the host at the door said they could prepare a table for twelve at five o'clock. Later, the server called my dad's name and guided us to our table. The place was bustling with people enjoying meals and celebrating Mother's Day. On our first visit to Isla Grand, I was captivated by the décor, noticing many native items that gave the place a fancy yet authentic Filipino feel. They usually have a live band, but unfortunately, there was no entertainment the night we went. Raisin Loaf & Soft Cheesy Loaf

Mom Violy had requested Carmina to purchase her some bread to eat since she was already purchasing some food for someone. Carmina decided to check out the baked goods from Auntie's Bakery 1984. Carmina found Soft Cheesy Loaf and Raisin Loaf something that Mom Violy loves to eat. Carmina was surprised to see the size of Raisin Loaf for the price of PHP 200.00 ($4.00) it is quite huge. Mom Violy said there is no way she can eat it by herself asked to share half of the raisin loaf. Black Kutsinta 😋

It is snack time in the Philippines. You have someone tried eating the same food every time. Someone asked for kutsinta only way is to find a different place that can be delivered to your home. Carmina was able to find black kutsinta with coconut and dipping sauce is yema. It was approved and the person had enjoy their snack for the day. You can find black kutsinta from  Auntie's Bakery  for PHP 141.00 ($2.82) feeds up to three people not including delivery fee and tip to the rider.
