Family was informed by their friends to try  Blackbird at the Nielson Tower  and asked Mom Violy if she has ever been there before. Mom Violy had no clue what it was asked Carmina to look it up and see what kind of food they serve.  Carmina gave the phone number to Mom Violy make a reservation for a family lunch. On the day of the reservation, we arrived early and were allowed to enter before the official opening time of eleven o’clock in the morning. We decided to stay in the lobby, where we were asked if we wanted anything to drink. Carmina took videos inside and learned about the history by talking to the staff. One hour later, people started coming into the restaurant and took their seats at the reservation table, browsing the menu to decide what to order. Red Ribbon Bake Shop Brazo de Mercedes Roll

By now you're thinking my mom has a sweet tooth for everything that comes in mind. My mom has been craving for so many desserts during her pandemic months. I've never been into sweet and I am glad. I couldn't understand why my mom wanted a full size of Brazo de Mercedes Roll when she only lives alone. Anyway she got what she wanted it kind of look like an arm from the picture 😂🤣being all white on the outer part inside there is custard color yellow. I kept telling my mom the Brazo de Mercedes Roll is sweet but she didn't listen to me. I made her eat what she had craved for good thing there is no baby expected in her stomach. The other day I mentioned to Manang V what my mom was craving for the Brazo de Mercedes Roll. Manang V said that is also my favorite cake. Chicken Pie at Conti's Bake Shop & Restaurant

My mom was telling me one of her best friend had mentioned to her to try the chicken pie from Conti's Bake Shop & Restaurant. Every time his relative had went to visit him at the province coming from Manila would purchase the frozen chicken pie. Pre-cooked PHP 34.00 ($0.68) per piece PHP 343.20 ($6.86) 8 in a box PHP 471.00 ($9.42) 12 in a box Frozen PHP 434.50 ($8.69) 10 in a plastic container My verdict of the chicken pie it has no vegetables the crust is soft just not my typical chicken pie I am use to eating although if you are a person who doesn't like eating vegetables the pie is right for you having no sauce inside. Who knows my taste buds is too Americanize for a person who grew up from California even though I've lived in the Philippines for a long time we tend to miss our cultural food we tend to adapt ourselves.   While I did my mom's grocery shopping at Metro Mart application at Robinson while I was looking for her juice. I was able to find Robinsons Calamansi with Mangosteen Juice Concentrate with Honey. It is concentrated to add water with instructions on the bottle. I was able to try it. I liked the taste of the Robinsons Calamansi with Mangosteen Juice Concentrate with Honey being sweet and sour from each fruits. Calamansi, mangosteen and honey are both healthy being summer o n our days being rainy season this can protect us by getting sick. Mogu Mogu Lychee Juice with Nata De Coco

Years before my mom and I would go shopping at 10:00 AM  we would be at the shopping mall when they had just opened. After our shopping we would complete our day to go grocery together last night my mom called me up telling me. Do you remember that juice you use to drink in the car the flavor is lychee? There is something floating in the juice. I cannot remember what the name of the juice is. You would always drink it after our shopping. I was naming all these drinks to my mom.  I remember that my mom was talking about Mogu Mogu Lychee Juice with Nata De Coco inside that was floating inside the bottle.
