Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...

Turkey Breast Beretta from Quezon City Deli

Carmina wanted to eat only sandwiches for the week and decided upon buying her cold cuts at a new place. Usually I would purchase my cold cuts from a grocery store using the Metro Mart application on my phone. I saw that there is a Quezon City Deli that has ingredients to make a sandwich. I figure why not try to order there for the first time. I haven't eaten turkey breast for a long time. It is my favorite cold cut back home. I have avocado that has been ripen up can be added to my sandwich. I've tried several time to order Turkey Breast Beretta from a grocery store but it is always out of stock. Quezon City Deli they sell it per grams starting off from one hundred the amount of PHP 168.00 ($3.50). I wasn't sure how many pieces of cold cut is in 100grams. I decided upon to purchase two hundred grams since I've haven't tried the Turkey Breast Beretta. If, I do like it is easy to place an additional order in the future. There is no physical website it is just inside ...

BTS is here in Manila, Philippines it is not a concert where the trend goes in eating a meal at Mc Donald's to place your order is easy. You can go in person or have it delivered in your location. One month ago my sister from the United States had informed me that the BTS Meal from Mc Donald's will be available in the Philippines. My sister is a fan of the BTS Korean Band. She had informed me that she was able to try it in the United States and wanted to know if there were any items to get for free. I started my own research and found out you can download the Mc Donald's application on your phone to place an order one day ahead before it would come out to the public. I am not like my sister it didn't matter to me. I was able to get my order through Grab application in some area it is not available depending which branch it is you can place it early in the morning.   Six months ago my funds in my saving account was hacked in the Philippines it took place the end of the month of January 2021. You can read the beginning how it all began from the beginning from my article I have wrote: https://www.carminalifestyle.com/2021/01/beware-of-people-stealing-money-from.html Months had passed and due to our pandemic and high risk of covid-19 in our area we're not able to leave our home. One day I was thinking what ever happened to my savings account why it is taking too long to be solved. Two days ago I had received a text message from the bank how they would like to communicate with me online giving them a time and date on my free time. Today I was able to communicate on the phone online using Webex an application to communicate something that was new to me but was able to download it on my phone and sign up for it being free. You can also use it on your computer if you choose too. https://www.webex.com/downloads.html/ The bank had informed m...

Eat Your Veggies Day from Jamba Juice

My niece didn’t tell us what was in her salad when she offered us her leftovers.  I remember the first time I tried kale—it was from my niece during my trip to California three years ago. She was on a diet, going through that teenage phase.  My mom tried it first and made a face. The worst part? There was no drink around at the time. I had to search for a place that sold beverages as we were walking. My mom and I had no idea what kale tasted like in a salad.  My niece asked me to finish the salad. The only thing I didn’t like was the dressing she used.  Later, in the humid weather of the Philippines, I saw Jamba Juice and wondered how kale would taste as a drink.  The best part? It’s blended with apples, and after drinking it, I couldn’t even taste the kale—the apple flavor was stronger.  It’s so cool to drink my veggies through a straw and still stay healthy.  What’s even better is that Jamba Juice offers it on sale for PHP 199.00 ($3.98) for two 12oz...
