Mom Violy and Carmina’s dining experience at Dean & DeLuca

  Mom Violy told me she wanted to order the Paella Negra from Dean & Deluca. Carmina suggested we dine in since we’d never really tried their main courses, always just getting takeout with the cream puffs . Mom Violy agreed, and we arrived about thirty minutes before the lunch rush began. The service was very slow, even though we had ordered ahead of time. They mistakenly brought out the Paella Valenciana , despite Mom Violy repeating the order three times to the person who took it. It turned out the cook on duty made the error, even though it was written down clearly. We know Paella Negra takes a long time to prepare, which is why Mom Violy had requested it to be cooked beforehand. She wanted it as her main meal, but because of the mix-up and feeling hungry, she took a piece of Carmina’s Turkey Club Sandwich and asked for the bacon on the side. Manang V's Milo Ice Candy Recipe

Manang V's favorite is chocolate flavor ice cream. Manang V makes ice candy at her home with her daughter. She has informed us that her daughter sells it for ten pesos per ice candy. It is common for Filipinos to sell ice candy for an extra income. Manang V will share her recipe with us. Manang V's Milo Ice Candy Recipe 8 Tbsp. - Milo 1 Cup - Evaporated Milk 1/2 Cup - Brown Sugar 1 Cup - Water Small Funnel Step 1: Process in mixing everything together by adding powdered milk chocolate in a pitcher with evaporated milk, sugar and water. Step 2: Holding a plastic ice candy having a saucer under the bottom and a small funnel inside the plastic ice candy pouring the milo with a spoon. Carmina wanted to eat grilled chicken for a change. I went searching in Grab Food to see what I can order and notice Kenny Roger's has a new item Kimcheese Roast Chicken. You want something new and spicy in your chicken here is something for you to try for yourself. Carmina decided to order the Solo A Kimcheese Roast that comes with thigh and leg part, one cup of rice, choice of sides mashed potato with gravy, coleslaw and corn bread for PHP 295.00 ($5.90). Carmina doesn't eat rice and gave it away to Manang V and the corn bread for them. Carmina also gave the family member her mashed potato and gravy.
