Family was informed by their friends to try Blackbird at the Nielson Tower and asked Mom Violy if she has ever been there before. Mom Violy had no clue what it was asked Carmina to look it up and see what kind of food they serve. Carmina gave the phone number to Mom Violy make a reservation for a family lunch. On the day of the reservation, we arrived early and were allowed to enter before the official opening time of eleven o’clock in the morning. We decided to stay in the lobby, where we were asked if we wanted anything to drink. Carmina took videos inside and learned about the history by talking to the staff. One hour later, people started coming into the restaurant and took their seats at the reservation table, browsing the menu to decide what to order. Carmina was planning to get a haircut on November 12, 2025, at Headway Salon in Tomas Morato. I called Mom Violy to see if she wanted to have lunch together and let her choose the restaurant. She then asked which seafood restaurant is located in Tomas Morato.
Carmina sent the link to Mom Violy it is called, Dampa Seafood Grill.
When we arrived at Dampa Seafood Grill, the music was very loud. Since Mom Violy doesn’t like loud music, she asked if they could turn it down a bit. Upon entering, someone will ask how many are in your party; we told them there were only two of us, and they showed us to our seats. Mom Violy also requested a spot away from the direct blast of the air-conditioning. The restaurant has a policy to read before you place your order.
Mom Violy decided to order her favorite butter garlic crab and shrimp from the menu, pleased to find the prices affordable.
Yes, they have clean restrooms for both genders and a parking area in front of the restaurant. Mom Violy, being an expert, noted that the crabs were frozen rather than fresh, but the way they cooked them was really delicious.
The shrimp is very tender and easy to peel from the shell.
We decided to give their calamari a try and took it home.
Dampa Seafood Grill offers outdoor dining, but children are not allowed. They also have a second floor, though I wasn’t able to check out the area during my visit.
