Carmina had asked Mom Violy what she would eat for dinner. Mom Violy said, there is a lot of food in the refrigerator that is all leftover. Bonding with relatives before you're about to leave next month willing to take you out for half day on a Saturday. Joanna asked, Carmina where would you like to eat giving us an option to choose. Mom Violy said she wanted to eat Korean. Joanna said why don't we eat where our relative had their birthday. Mom Violy needed to do her laboratory required by her doctors. Carmina and Mom Violy would leave early in the morning since we live one hour away from where she does her medical health care. Carmina doesn't mind accompanying Mom Violy to her doctor appointment. She knows other friends who also does the same for their own parents. Mom Violy is just doing her general checkup since it has been three years since we last traveled to the United States. Living with our life conditions we need to make sure to those who have medical condition are checked up regularly. Lately, Carmina has been driving other people's car due to circumcises and we get the opportunity to drive different type of vehicles. At first it is scary to be driving a car that doesn't belong to you. However, when the opportunity is handed over the car key for you to drive your friends it is an advantage for them to see how you're driving is when they ride with you. Carmina tends to be careful especially the car doesn't belong to you. You drive the car as if it we're to be yours's making sure you're stopping at each traffic light before it turns yellow or red. In your head you keep in mind hoping all lights are just green when you're passing by the street that has a camera on the stop light. Everyone always wants to learn from their own mom how to cook their Filipino dishes. Mom Violy decided to cook some Filipino Pork Adobo for Papa Ping. Carmina was able to watch Mom Violy cook in the kitchen and take a video during the process. Mom Violy's Pork Adobo Recipe: Ingredients: 1lbs. Country Pork Ribs (washed and chopped in cubes) 1/2 Cup - Soy Sauce 1/2 Cup - Water 1 - Clove Garlic (chopped) 1 Tbsp. - White Vinegar 1 - Knor Pork Cube 1 Tbsp. - Black Pepper or Peppercorn 1 - Small Piece Bay Leaf Marinate Sauce: Add pork ribs in a plastic Tupperware   In a small bowl add soy sauce, water, garlic, vinegar and black pepper mix well add with pork ribs let it marinate for one hour in the refrigerator. Red Lobster had a New Seafood Summerfest and we wanted to try it out. Mom Violy had the Grilled Lobster, Shrimp and Salmon with clam chowder and rice. Carmina had the Today's Catch Salmon New Orleans (half portion) of clam chowder and baked potato. May had the full portion of Salmon with rice and salad. Twelve years ago, Mom Violy has been shipping boxes from California to the Philippines every time she is in town visiting her family and friends. Allied Cargo Services was referred by Auntie Marissa who uses them when she is sending boxes to her family in the Philippines. Mom Violy had called up Conrad the owner of Allied Cargo Services to make an appointment when she would like to have her boxes being picked up by Ogie. Ogie had arrived with the truck to have our boxes picked up with an invoice slip with shipping address and the sender of the boxes being shipped out through Allied Cargo Services. It will take two months until you'll be receiving your boxes in the Philippines. During the pandemic Allied Cargo Services weren't affected their business did well since people we're sending boxes for people who needed an income. Carmina went to check out their new added item was between Violet Latte or Dirty Ube. Carmina has tried ube before in the Philippines. Although never saw it with organic coffee and wanted to check on why it is a new item in Teaspoon in Hayward, California. My tip is informing how much ice you want and sugar level we didn't have a chance to tell the person who had taken our order since it was our first time at Teaspoon . I was surprised after finishing my drink how much ice was placed in my Dirty Ube. Overall, the Dirty Ube was very good just too much ice to really enjoy it being super cold.
