Carmina received a notification from my GCash saying a payment of 25.00 pesos to Google had been successfully processed. At first, I was confused and had no idea where the money was going, which was quite surprising. The only way to figure it out was to check my Gmail account and see the automatic payments being made for donations. In YouTube, go to Settings and select Purchases and Memberships . I found out the charge was from my membership to my friend’s YouTube channel , and I didn’t realize it renewed automatically. I often see people renewing on their own during live streams. To manage it, just click on each membership, go to the channel, choose “Cancel,” select “Other,” and then click save. Friendship draws family to connect with each other distance when you don't realize a lot has changed.
Many friendships last for a long time yet we never know what someone is experiencing once you see them face to face.
Yesterday after visiting Auntie Hermie at her home made me see the life, she lived alone in her home. It was sad for me to see a person who didn't quite recognized you when the moment she had opened her door.
The memories in my head where Auntie was the joyful person who was very talkative. Seeing her after three years later she was the timid and opposite person who didn't seem herself.
I know a lot of seniors live alone in their homes in California although never knew it would look this way.
Being a daughter always there for Mom Violy made me realized how much an impact had encounter being sad how Auntie Hermie was living.
Life from someone else home is a shock.
I had hugged Auntie Hermie helped her out with phone so we can connect with each other.
I remembered during the pandemic Auntie Hermie would always call me up video call and we would talk for hours.
Auntie Hermie had informed us her meals comes from Meals on Wheels. The requirements are you need to be living alone and not driving in the United States.
Anyone you know who a senior is can inform what the government offers.
Mom Violy, Auntie Hermie and Auntie Lilian have been friends over forty years.
I grew up in Fremont, California and they used to hang out come to the house or we would travel when young.
After many years has past somehow, they had drifted apart and reconnected to each other with a busy life they all had to deal.
The sad part was saying our goodbyes Auntie Hermie looked unhappy.
I made sure when she had walked us outside that she was inside her home.
We don't know what seniors are doing when we're not at their sight.
