When the longing for authentic Pinoy dishes strikes in the U.S., Isla Grand stands ready to transport your taste buds back to the Philippines.

Carmina is traveling to the United States to spend time with her family. My dad planned a family gathering for Mother's Day at their favorite Pinoy restaurant . Since reservations aren’t possible, we arrived an hour early to ensure we could get a table for twelve before everyone else showed up. As my dad approached Isla Grand , the branch we visited in Pleasant Hills, California , the host at the door said they could prepare a table for twelve at five o'clock. Later, the server called my dad's name and guided us to our table. The place was bustling with people enjoying meals and celebrating Mother's Day. On our first visit to Isla Grand, I was captivated by the décor, noticing many native items that gave the place a fancy yet authentic Filipino feel. Chicken Enchiladas from Talavera Mexican Grill

After hiking with Joanie you tend to build an appetite wanting to eat Mexican food. Carmina had notice while walking around locally came Talavera Mexican Grill that was located at the corner where she saw a lot of people eating outside and indoors.

Even though the doors are wide open the air that was coming out made it safe to eat indoors.

Carmina hasn't eaten Enchiladas for a long time and decided to eat with shredded chicken with red Chile ancho sauce for $14.90 for a plate with rice. Carmina didn't want any beans with her chicken enchiladas.

There is an option to drink plain water or water with fruits inside. Carmina drank the one with fruits giving you a taste of something cold and refreshing to drink.

Carmina's observation the restaurant is quite busy people entering inside for takeout or for dine in.

Here is the menu for you to see what you would like to try in the future:

NOTE:

Carmina is not selling or advertising for Mexican food served at Talavera Mexican Grill.
