Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Carmina's Experience on the San Francisco Bay Ferry


Commuters use San Francisco Bay Ferry to ride based on the schedules given.

Rather drive your car you can go to San Francisco just 25 minutes one way. All you need to do is purchase tickets online giving you to swipe before upon boarding the ferry to San Francisco Bay Ferry allow you to bring your bikes.



In front of the San Francisco Bay Ferry there is a bike rack those who want to bring along with you.

The area to reach the port is in Alameda. California where the parking is free to the public.

Riding the San Francisco Bay Ferry make sure you have your face mask on.

Anyone who need to work on the laptop there are tables provided and plugs to charge any electronic gadgets located on the wall near the windows.


The best part there are public restrooms provided for both men and women. The restrooms are big, clean for you to use provided with hand soap and toilet paper.

The ferry is air-conditioned. 

There is no assigned seat you may pick where you want to seat down.



Upon leaving after 25 minutes, you'll be lining up on both ends of the aisle making ways of others to go out.

Make sure you bring out your Clipper card to swipe at the electronic machine letting you know ready to travel giving you a balance remaining on your card.
