Mom Violy and Carmina's Experience with Southwest Airlines

24 hours before your departure make sure you check in online at Southwest this way life is easier, and you don't need to stand in line for a long time.

It is up to you if you want to wear a face mask it is optional upon entering Oakland Airport in California. There are no porters to assist you to carry your luggage's.

Step 1:

Proceed inside using Kioshi machine input confirmation number and follow instructions to print out luggage tags to be able to drop it off at the counter and boarding pass under your name.

Step 2:

You will ask to attach the stickers by following the instructions on the back to place it on each luggage you'll be checking in.

Per person you have two free luggage the weight of 50 pounds to check in.

All you need is to present your identification card such as driver's license to the counter to give your luggage and have it weighed.

Step 3:

If you have someone who needs assistance to ride in a wheelchair there is access where you'll inform the person in charge to assist you.

Mom Violy rode a wheelchair feeling her legs are painful walking.

Tips:

1. Those who need to get a wheelchair must go to the window to ask for assistance by presenting your boarding pass.
2. If you have companion, they're allowed to go with you while riding the wheelchair.
3. Love watching movies it is advised to download Southwest application on your mobile device.
4. If you cannot cope no Wi-Fi access, you can purchase on the flight for $8.00 under your own expense.

Step 4:

Next is to proceed presenting boarding pass with identification card to scan it before entering for inspection.

No need to remove shoes or electronics devices can be placed inside your carryon.

Enter inside to be inspected by walking until it is clear to get all your belongings after being scanned.

The assistance will bring you to your gate number and you'll begin to line up once it is time to board the plane.

Another assistance will be assigned to bring you inside the aircraft Southwest Airlines has no assigned seating where they call it "Open Seat" meaning you have an option where you would want to seat down.

Example:

Using assistance most likely you're the first ones to pick the seat in the airplane. The stewardess will explain where you can place your carryon on the overhead bins allowing based on size.

Just in case you want to be seated on the front row seat you will need to put your personal bags inside the overhead bins at all times.

The remaining seats from row two till the end of the plane are allowed to place their personal bags under their legs.

The stewardess will ask what beverage you would like to drink by choosing complimentary in the menu.

Those who prefer to drink alcohol there are additional charge under your own expenses paying upon the end of your plane ride.

Carmina asked for ginger ale as her beverage during her flight.

There are snacks given free to eat on the plane.

Fill up State of Hawaii Department of Agriculture before leaving the aircraft where the stewardess will get from you helping you out how to fill up the form.

Once you have arrived in Hawaii those who had requested for wheelchair assistance there will be a new person to let you ride on and bring you to the carousel where you'll be getting your luggage's.

Anyone who will pick you up let them know what number you're standing at so they can find you right away.
