The Story of Ramon Evangelista

Although Ramon loved painting on paper as a little kid. Ramon started enjoying painting on canvases when he was about seven years old. Ramon had art lessons at that time. Ramon got this particular talent when he did various digital artworks, including those he would import to the canvases.

Yes, Finally Ramon had an art teacher who taught him how to draw things with shadings with the use of oil pastels before painting at home. Ramon also had some more art lessons in the original spot where Kenny Rogers's Roaster was, and even during my school years.

Of all artists Ramon learned about, I think my most favorite is Roy Lichtenstein. Because Ramon remember watching a read-along video about his biography where he took a lot of inspiration from museums, yellow pages for phone calls, comics, and bubble gum wrappers. As well, he enjoyed painting various cartoon characters for fun.

Ramon is inspired by watching children's animated movies and shows (including the behind the scenes documentaries and the art of animation books), playing cute video games, travelling around the world and seeing a few Wonders of the World (e.g. the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower) and various artifacts found in museums.

Ramon attended college took up animation in SDA (School of Design and Arts), De-La Salle of St. Benilde. Although Ramon enjoy his animation experience, he couldn't take any jobs related to that course.

Being inspired from various artworks Ramon saw before, he felt to do collection of paintings. A part of what he loved painting animals such as a bear, three kinds of birds, and a tiger (the third animal to join the Chinese and Japanese zodiac which was in the story I really enjoyed). Ramon remembered watching his favorite celebrity Olivia Holt and decided to paint her. I painted two celebrities with the latter being Ariana Grande which my dad suggested as she's one of the most popular celebrities who had the most followers on Instagram.

It really depends how many hours Ramon spend painting. Ramon can spend half a day to do corrections and color adjustments.

Ramon's dad is trying to think of a perfect spot where he can put an art studio in the future.

Ramon's dad who wanted him to paint a few such as a bird and a mother and child, and then my grandma who would wanted Ramon to paint a portrait of her in Paris, my mom, my aunts and my subject's mom.

Ramon feel thrilled when he sees his paintings are coming to life especially with the illusion that the subjects are popping out of the canvas; in other words, the 3-D effect.

Ramon Evangelista someday Carmina would like to be able to walk inside your art studio and personally thank you for your interview.

You have a talents from eyes of being creative in what you do I wish you happiness toward your venture of making your paintings come to the hands to other people placing in their own homes.
