Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Each order comes in its own green plastic bag with a table...

Teaza Milk Tea Philppines

Carmina was craving Filipino taho, the kind we usually buy from vendors outside our home. Being stuck at home during the lockdown, we started looking for alternatives to satisfy our cravings.

While browsing Grab Food, Carmina searched for "taho" on the app and stumbled upon Teaza Milk Tea. They offered a unique Taho and Brown Sugar Slush that piqued her curiosity, especially since it was part of their Soy Series.

This new drink is available in two sizes: small for PHP 114.00 ($2.28) or large for PHP 138.00 ($2.76). You can customize the sweetness level too, choosing from 100%, 75%, 50%, or 25%.

Carmina is enjoying her Taho and Brown Sugar Slush, which has made her too full to eat dinner, but that’s perfectly fine.

Vanilla Milk Tea is available in Medium for PHP 90.00 ($1.80) or Large for PHP 102.00 ($2.04). Choose your tea type—Assam or Oolong—and customize the sugar level to your liking.

It’s merienda time for Carmina, the perfect snack break between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM before dinner. Our favorite treat is fries, available in flavors like Cheese, Sour Cream, and Barbecue. You can get a Solo for PHP 78.00 ($1.56) or Sharing for PHP 132.00.
