Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...

Stopover at Baysix Street Food

Imagine riding in a car with your family, feeling hungry before heading back home. One family member craves orange chicken with rice.

You spot Bay 6 Street Food ahead and decide to give it a try. As hunger strikes, you notice they offer the orange chicken you've been craving.

However, the family member changes his mind and orders a Bay 6 Burger with an extra egg and no vegetables instead.

Bay 6 Burger PHP 190.00 ($3.80)

A family member mentioned that the Bay 6 Burger with an extra egg was refreshing, with a hint of basil in the sauce and burger.

Another family member ordered Poutine, which is French fries topped with gravy and melted cheese. To me, it looked like a mashed potato version of fries.

Poutine: PHP 160.00 ($3.20)

Family member asked for a plain burger PHP 190.00 ($3.80).

Extra French fries PHP 100.00 ($2.00)

Before heading home, the family members were satisfied after enjoying a meal at Baysix Street Food, having explored their menu by clicking on the name.

Carmina placed her order through Grab Food. Since the Philippines is under ECQ, we had to order in advance to ensure we had food.

The Bay 6 Burger arrived neatly packed in a box, as shown in the picture.

The poutine and French fries were served in a securely sealed plastic container.
