Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...

My Mom's Cravings

When it is the month to replenish my mom's grocery, she always requests for food she often miss eating. The day gets a bit busy than other days. I end up ordering food online for her since she doesn't know how to do that on her own.

Being the daughter who has access doing all what needs to complete the whole task makes you think harder to make sure her groceries are complete.

Other people think it is easy to do but sometimes it can be a challenge to think together with your mom to find out other food she may want to try rather than repeating her food over and over again.

Lately my mom has been craving for kare kare oxtail from Manam you wonder why the restaurant only place their food in a paper bag with a paper container especially the food being hot after it has been cooked.

I have placed my mom's kare kare with oxtail in a plastic container to make sure it will arrive secure to her.

I am not sure if the restaurants realize how the paper container begins to break apart when you transfer the food in a container.

There are other items my mom would ask me to think hard where I can purchase what her needs when she cannot go out of her home.

My mom sometimes is not patient enough to hold off and wait. I need to explain to her sometimes we need to be patient enough to wait everything will fall into place.

Sometimes items you need and crave are not available on a certain day you can always order another day and have it delivered to her home.

You find out when you're in a rush your mind get stress but not letting other now you can handle the pressure you just remain calm not letting others know what you're going through.

I've learned from myself I can do it slowly and try to feel I am being pressure to do it on my own pace.
