Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...

Unexpected Virtual Call

During my visit with my mom at her home after we had eaten our lunch and was able to rest we had spent some time calling up her friends for virtual calls without letting them know ahead of time.

Our first caller was our relative and wanted to call her up since I was with my mom to let her see us together funny thing I asked why I only see the ceiling with a light that looked like from the bathroom.

Our cousin told us hey I am not prepared for this I am in the bathroom. 🤣

The second caller I didn’t realize the time difference was calling someone from California it was mid-night there.

It was a mistake and I had informed the second caller she said we can talk for a few minutes. I was already on another virtual call during that time.

Third caller we had called my mom’s friend who is also like my adopted mom she was lying on her bed and she was not expecting a call from us.

I asked to take a picture the third caller said wait I am not ready I have no makeup and I just woke up from my nap.

Fourth caller was Yann and she was also lying on her bed and I was able to take our picture together no matter what she is always prepared to take a picture.

It is just so funny being able to talk so many people when you call them unexpected and you get to experience the different reactions from each person.

I couldn't stop laughing my stomach was hurting from everyone who we tried to talk too over virtual call.

My mom wasn't paying any attention to me she was too busy checking all the likes and comments from her phone during the whole process.
