Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...

Quarantine in Your Home

I wanted a break from everyone you hear often in the news and when you’re tuned out from the news there is always a talk in your home.

There are so many commotion in your home as the people in your home is going on too much stress in adjusting themselves to stay distance from each other.

You have phone calls coming on and off the only way to do are be calm as there are people going in and out of your home with having a lot of employees.

You find out you need to limit how many people entering the house and some have to stay scattered in other places while we are living in a place where we call quarantine from the outside and in your own home.

People who have expose from the outside end up having a cold symptoms and all you can do is take care of them in that process wearing a mask so you don’t catch what they have and make sure it is not what you think it is.

When I see my friends who live far away and they post they are outside with no one around you begin to envy them because where you live you feel you are in jail when you have someone roaming the house doing patrol and there is an cctv in your home.

The only thing you don’t have is handcuffs and you have unlimited internet is the best thing compared to real jail time.

The only thing you can do is think what else you can do in your home while you’re not allowed to exit your home.

You feel special when you have close friends checking up on you when something bad is happening in this world we live in.

It is a great feeling when you have close friends thinking to see how you are doing as they email, text messages and calling you up from being away from them.

At the point we live on being stranded where we are we try other ways to communicate with each other every day to see if they are still alive and ticking in their own different environment.

It is cool to hear from them as you can hear their voices or read their email from the way they express themselves.

It is a good feeling you get when you hear from your close friends that has been concern how you are doing.
