It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Coupon on the Sunday newspaper was so popular when I was
growing up in California. We would run out in the driveway to get our newspaper
and check out all the coupons we can use on an upcoming sale.
We would cut up the ones we needed and discard the ones in
the recycling bin.
After many years has passed cutting coupons in the Sunday
paper was no longer the trend people would receive coupon through email from
promotion in certain stores we had subscribed from.
Years later everything became paperless and when you enter a
grocery store they would give you a print out on a coupon of certain product you have
recently purchased.
You would become a member of the Entertainment Coupon Book that comes with lots of coupons in restaurant, hotel, car service and etc.
Now our coupons comes from our phone that you can just get
by giving out your phone number and register it at the store.
Sometimes the store requires a card to become a member to
get a discount from the store.
Now, in this generation we don’t use a card we just pay
online to get a discount from our meals through an application in your area.
Everything is becoming paperless and our regular credit card
bill no longer comes in the mail. It comes through via email.
