It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Most of my photos were from the pandemic period, a time when I could fully express myself and write about the food I enjoyed. Let's take a trip down memory lane with Carmina th...
Today, I made a group chat in
Facebook messenger for my mom and her best friend. We are planning for our
upcoming trip to celebrate our birthday.
I had received a quotation from our
travel agent and decided to make a group chat for the both of them. I figured
it would be easier on me so I don't need to send the same message individually.
It turned out my mom typed a message
that her best friend is not suppose to read. I only found out after I had read
her message. I tried signing on my mom's Facebook account. I was too late. Her
friend already read the message.
My mom called me up getting mad at
me. She said, it was my fault that she had typed the message in the wrong
place.
I told my mom how it can be my fault
when I didn't type it.
It didn't make it easier on me as I thought
it would have been. It became more complicated and had to meddle in between and
explain it to her friend that read a message.
Good thing her friend didn't take
the message against her. She knew my mom too well being friends for a very long
time.
I had informed my mom not to make
the issue bigger than what it was. I told my mom not to bother contacting her
friend to make more issue out of something she had already been clean up.
I learn my lesson no more group chat
for my mom.
You learn eventually the hard way
when you deal with my mom and someone who is aging and not understanding the
concept of group chatting.
