Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Each order comes in its own green plastic bag with a table...

Classic Video Games

I remember when I was a kid the only video game that was in the market was pacman that comes in a machine where you put a quarter inside. To just play one set game until you lose.

My dad bought us our first Atari video game console for two player game that you need to plug to the television.

Pinball machine was the next in thing in the arcade.

As years past the first Play Station PS1 came out. I use to play Crash Bandicoot. I remember I would stay up at night just to get to the next level.

Now, you can have video games access in your phone, computer and video game console that are hand held. It doesn't need to be connected to your television.

I had some friends they didn't allow their child to play video games. I was telling my friend this is the best thing for a kid to have. You will no longer hear them complain that they are bored.

When you are outside and you bring your child to do your errands you don't hear them whining and asking when will they go home.

Of course there are certain age range when a child should be playing video games.

I see parents allowing their toddler holding their phone or tablet to play games.

Or they are watching cartoon shows or movies on their phone or tablet.

Either way the parents find it easier to keep their child pre-occupied during moments they have no choice to take them along on their errands.

I remember when my boys are young those shows we're not accessible at that time. We brought portable DVD players for the car to keep our child busy in the car. We place cartoons that seem to be their favorite at that time.

DVD are not the in thing anymore people use portable hard drive and save the shows in their gadgets.
