I was recently told from my employer that I needed to apply for my SSS. I was told it won't affect my SSS in the United States.
Step 1:
If, you are born in the Philippines you will need to get an original copy of your birth certificate.
If, your married in the Philippines you need a original copy of your marriage certificate.
Step 2:
Go to https://www.sss.gov.ph/ to download the application form. Or you can fill it up online and have it printed.

Tips:
- Go to any branch of the Social Security System Office.
- Bring your original Birth Certificate and (2) copies.
- Bring original Marriage Certificate and (2) copies.
- If, you have children who are below 21 years old they will be consider your beneficiary.
- Bring their original birth certificate and (2) copies.
- Bring original copy of your son/daughter Filipino Passport with (2) copies.
- If, you are a Dual Citizenship.
- Bring original R.A. Documents and (2) copies.
- Bring both Filipino Passport and United States Passport with (2) copies.
- This also goes for your son/daughter who will be your beneficiary
Step 3:
Now you have your SSS number no need to apply in person for your Phil Health and Pagibig Fund.
