When Mom Violy spotted Crisostomo’s handwritten menu, something in her chest lit up: home-style lumpia, sinigang steaming in clay pots—could this be the comfort food she’d been missing?

Carmina informed Mom Violy that she would visit her home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She asked if Mom Violy wanted to go out for lunch and mentioned needing to do some grocery shopping due to an upcoming big storm. Mom Violy suggested trying Crisostomo, a Filipino restaurant inside Robinsons Magnolia. Carmina forwarded the menu for her to choose what she wanted to eat, while Carmina already knew her order. I chose pork barbeque served in a set of three pieces with a vinegar dipping sauce. I skipped rice and opted for lumpiang hubad, fresh lumpia without a wrapper, topped with peanut sauce.  Mom Violy initially craved the classic Pinoy paella, but when it wasn’t available, she decided on sinigang na baboy with an extra serving of rice. A family member chose sisig with garlic rice. Carmina enjoyed her meal with Mom Violy and particularly liked the  lumpiang hubad , though she kept wondering why it had no wrapper. Tenya Tempura Tendon in Mitsukoshi BGC

Mom Violy couldn't believe there was too many people at the food court inside Mitsukoshi BGC. It is our first time inside.

Mom Violy was too hungry and decided to eat at Tenya Tempura Tendon. She had asked Carmina what she'll ordered. Carmina said, the chicken teriyaki bento box. Mom Violy said, she'll get the vegetable and shrimp tempura.

Mom Violy was placing the order she began looking for a table for us to seat down.

I had approached a person seating down in a big table to see if I would be able to be seated. I was informed they are only three people so there were three extra chairs. I sat there until Mom Violy came so I can inform Becky to seat down so once the food was ready. I can pick up the food from Tenya Japanese Restaurant.

From being too hungry Carmina asked Mom Violy and Becky where our location was, they couldn't even pronounce it. 🤣

The food had arrived Carmina asked Mom Violy I thought you're getting the assorted vegetable and shrimp tempura over rice. Mom Violy said, she had changed her mind.

Mom Violy had ordered with miso soup with additional charge.

The Chicken Bento Box includes with Japanese rice, 2 pieces of California Maki, 2 pieces of tempura kangkong and grilled chicken teriyaki.

Anyone who cannot eat with chopsticks may request for forks from the counter.

Drinks are additional not included in the bento box.

We all enjoyed our meal and was able to get filled up.
