Carmina's review on Summit Hotel in Tacloban

Last year my dad had informed me he will be getting married in Tacloban the place his wife grew up in the Philippines . My dad said he would like all of his family members to attend since they couldn't go to the one in the United States. Carmina booked her flight during Philippine Airlines ’ year-end sale at the start of 2026. I told my dad about my travel plans for a short trip from Friday, April 17 to Sunday, April 19. My cousins also asked for my flight details so they could book the same flight. My dad said he will book my room for me sharing with two family members at  Summit Hotel in Tacloban . Sending me the confirmation booking information for my reference.  As the months went by, before I knew it, the big day had finally arrived—a rare event that doesn’t happen too often. Everything had been carefully planned by my dad and his wife, Tita Cielo. When we arrived, the check-in time was 2 PM, but there was a mix-up with the rooms. Merienda by Pan de Manila Home Made Style Chicken Pie

Carmina felt she wanted to eat some chicken pot pie for her late snack. It was already too late to place her online where she usually purchase it to arrive the same day.

Carmina went ahead to look elsewhere and came up and found Pan de Mania where she purchase her bread. Pan de Manila also serves Home Made Style Chicken Pie. You can choose from either baked or frozen.

Carmina decided upon ordering the baked ready to eat since she was already hungry for PHP 375.00 ($7.50) not including handling fee and tip to the rider through Grab Food.

Carmina wasn't sure what the size of the Home Made Style Chicken Pie will turn out arriving here in a paper bag inside a plastic container being protected arriving its destination.

Carmina's Review:

Merienda by Pan de Manila Home Made Style Chicken Pie the pie is light and thins kind of a buttery croissant type of crust, the filling is not the traditional chicken pie you normally have eaten.

The difference from Merienda by Pan de Manila Home Made Style Chicken Pie is that it has hardboiled eggs that is mashed inside with chicken, mushroom, potato, carrot, celery and other vegetables inside.

You can eat the Home Made Style Chicken Pie not only for merienda (snack). It can also be for a regular meal.

To reheat the Home Made Style Chicken Pie, slice it up and store individual portions in plastic containers in the refrigerator. When you’re ready to enjoy, warm it up in the microwave. There’s no official website, but you can find it on the Grab Food app by searching for it.
