Have you ever seen a decoration your parents kept, carrying it with them from another country or a previous marriage? Carmina realized that parents often hold onto items they've purchased in the past. While browsing Greenhill's shopping center, she stepped into  Mystic Gems by Bensani and saw so many nostalgic items that reminded her of growing up.  I pointed out to Mom Violy that she had a similar crystal tree decoration at home. She said it was forty years old and already dirty. The saleslady explained it could be cleaned easily with soap and water. Carmina decided to take Mom Violy home and bring the crystal tree decoration with her. Mom Violy questioned why she was taking it, and I said I would clean it and return it.  I noticed Mom Violy had placed planting seeds inside the decoration, for reasons I didn’t understand. Pork Asado Recipe


This is Manang V's recipe she said her pork asado is combination of menudo and adobo in order to make this dish the only difference there is no carrots.

Pork Asado Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 2 Kilos - Pork (slice 2 inches thick)
  • 2 - Potatoes (peel and slice)
  • 1 - Large Bell Pepper
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 - Tbsp Whole Peppercorn
  • 1 and 1/2 Pouch - Del Monte Tomato Sauce (1 large and 1 small)
  • 1 Piece - Calamansi Juice (squeeze and remove seeds)
  • 2 Tbsp - Soy Sauce
  • 6 - Pieces Laurel leaf (bay leaf)
  • Cooking Oil
Marinate Pork
  1. In a bowl add soy sauce, calamansi juice, tomato sauce, whole peppercorn mixes together and add sliced pork for one hour.
Cooking Instructions
  • In a pot pour small amount of cooking oil when hot add garlic and onion sauté add marinated pork with laurel leaf add potatoes and bell pepper cook until meat is tender.
  • Ready to serve in a serving plate.
