Mom Violy wanted to get a haircut from Ruel from Hairliners Salon in Ali Mall. She was saying if they are not too busy wanted to get a pedicure. For the pork lover here is a dish for you to cook at your home this is lechon kawali that is often cooked in our home by Manang V to top it off on the side with homemade lechon sauce of my mom in which I will include with this recipe.
Lechon Kawali Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 Kilo - Liempo
- 1 Tsp - Salt
- 1/2 Tsp - Magic Sarap
- 3 Cups = Water
- Cooking oil
Boiling Instructions:
- In a pot boil the three cups water add the magic sarap and salt until hot add liempo to soften for 15 minutes.
- Place the liempo on a strainer set aside
Frying Instructions:
- In a frying pan or deep fryer add cooking oil until hot fry both sides of the liempo when cooked slice the liempo into cubes like shown in the picture.
Lechon Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 Can - Liverwurst
- 1 Tbsp - Salt
- 1/2 Cup - White Vinegar
- 1 Tbsp - Whole Black Pepper
- 1/2 Cup - Bread Crumbs
- 1 Cloves - Garlic (minced)
- 1/2 Cup - Brown Sugar
- 2 Tbsp - White Sugar
Step 1:
- In a pot add small amount of cooking oil once hot add garlic saute add liverwurst, vinegar, bread crumbs, sugar and salt mix together until texture is smooth it is ready to serve cooked in low heat.
