What is buro? Buro is known to use angkak which is a rice color purple that has fermented that has red yeast rice that is where buro gets it's color.
Buro is fermented with salt and fish for one week before they sell it.
Buro is made with isda (fish) for example the one my mom buys in Cabanatuan City is made with tinapa (smoked fish) located in the Public Market in front of the entrance across the street from the bakery.
Each sold individual for PHP 50.00 ($1.00)
(Price may vary)
Buro is eaten with mustasa (mustard green), okra, ampalaya (bitter melon) and eggplant that has been steamed.
