See Iloilo’s best landmarks up close this January — history, culture, and photo-perfect moments.

Mom Violy, Tita Edna and Carmina have never been to Iloilo . Tita Edna suggested using her Philippine Airlines mileage to deduct 9,000 miles for a round trip to Iloilo and pay taxes of about 3,000 pesos ($50.85). Mom Violy and Carmina decided to do the same. Two weeks later, we learned Bacolod was recently hit by a typhoon, leaving fewer places to visit, so we changed our plans to stay in Iloilo, paying an additional 2,057 pesos ($34.86) for January 6–9, with Tita Edna leaving one day earlier on January 8, 2026.  Tita Edna told us that she has a friend Beth who can pick us up from the airport. Do you have a fixed daily menu in your home?

Sometimes when your cook wants to surrender from their job the only way you can do is make peace by helping out someone who has a terrible time reading and understanding instructions on a recipe.

Sometimes there are people who just complain and not say how they feel when they are having a hard time in their work.

Sometimes we come across someone who just drop things with fear of anger within them and not even tell you they are so mad and frustrated of the news things happening to them.

Or we come across when someone tells you something that the cook wants to quit because they are having a hard time there will always be a miscommunication from a person that has been passed up on another person.

We live in a home where there are too many people and sometimes people will just ruin someone else’s job position and sometimes we need to find out and inspect to see if the person they are referring to is really saying what a person has passed on to you.

Sometimes in life we need to make a compromise so everyone can work together it doesn’t matter if you are superior or what age you are it is a matter of getting along and working together so everyone can understand each other.

When you come across some old enough to your mother who is having a difficult time they tend to compare themselves with someone else who use to work for you before. The real problem is older people are afraid to learn new recipes and want to go based on something they are use too cooking.

I will share with you the old menu that has been a tradition that needs to be broken slowly for other meals to be cooked in our home.
