It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. My son is lactose intolerance and he can’t eat too many dairy products he prefers to eat this when he has school during the week.
I had played with this recipe to remove the milk and butter
from my Bacon Carbonara Recipe to see what the taste would be. The outcome it
is less milky and the chicken broth adds the flavor to the pasta. It is a
lighter version.
Lactose Intolerance Bacon and Spinach Carbonara Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1-Kilo Bacon (fry and cut into small pieces) – any meat
- 2- Nestle Cream (small boxes)
- 2- Cup Water
- 2- Knorr chicken cubes (any flavor)
- 2 – Boxes 500 grams of pasta noodle of your choice
- 1 - Cup Fresh Spinach
Step 1:
- Cook the pasta by following instructions on the box
- Strain and transfer back in the pot
- Set aside
Step 2:
- Fry bacon without any oil on a non stick frying pan
- Bacon will make it's own oil from the fat
- Strain and cut into small pieces by using kitchen scissors
- Add to the pasta
Step 3:
- In a small pot add 2 cup water let it boil
- Add 2 chicken cubes or your choice
- Let it dissolve
- Add cream
- Mix well
- Add to the pasta with bacon
Step 4:
- Remove the leaves from spinach
- Add to a small pot of water
- Let it cook
- Strain
- Use a knife to slice in small pieces
- Add the spinach to the pasta, bacon and sauce
- Mix together
Step 5:
- Ready to eat!
