What made Mom Violy step out of her comfort zone and try Las Flores for lunch?

  Mom Violy wanted to try Spanish food from  Las Flores  at Robinsons Magnolia . I remembered long time ago saw a family friend when my family was visiting beginning of the year. Mom Violy couldn't remember decided to have our lunch. Carmina decided to try out their Let's Do Lunch for 595.00 pesos ($10.26). Carmina asked for vegetable soup and Bikini sandwich which is ham and mozzarella cheese with potato chips. There is an unlimited calamansi but decided to pay additional for a Coke to share with Mom Violy. Mom Violy wasn't sure what she wanted ended up eating Gambas al Ajillo and white rice. In the beginning Mom Violy thought if she ate her gambas al Ajillo with just unlimited bread from the Las Flores she won't get full. It turned out she didn't eat that much of her rice. Fried Rice Recipe


Fried rice is always a best food to feed your family when you have left over food in your home. I learn you can improvise by adding either canned salmon without bones or draining off the water from the can. Or use left over grilled chicken, or shrimp. You can actually use anything you desire.

The main ingredient in the fried rice:
  • 3 cups cooked Japanese rice (any type of rice)
  • 1 canned corn (drain the water)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed pepper
  • 2 tsp cooking oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onions
  • 400g thinly sliced sirloin beef
Step 1:

You will pour the oil on the pan to cook the sirloin beef once cook. Set aside

Step 2:

In another pot you will add the butter and have it melted.
Add cooked Japanese rice, corn, black pepper, sirloin beef or your optional ingredient and mixed together,
Add spring onions.

Ready to eat!
