Kumori Japanese Bakery and Cafe

I was too curious and walk into this Japanese Bakery to see what they had to offer. I usually buy bread in Bread Talk and Yamato. I wanted to see what bread that I can buy and try for myself. The branch I went to visit was at UP Town Center. I love eating anything with cinnamon and came across a cinnamon roll. I had tried it for breakfast it is not what I had expected. The downside the cream cheese over powered the taste of the cinnamon bread, Maybe they had put too much. The bread is too sweet for me although the bread is really moist and soft. This is coffee bread with raisin. It is actually tasty something I would buy again. These are the other pastry that are sold in the bakery and cafe. Note: Carmina is not selling or advertising for  Kumori Japanese Bakery and Cafe.

Ice Scream for Ice Cream

Apart of our life we look for a sugar rush something to fill up our cravings. No matter what the weather is like from freezing, cold, warm and super hot we look for something to make us satisfied from our sweet tooth. My family loves ice-cream and the best to get their cravings satisfied is from Baskin Robbins.

Craving for Pizza from California

In the Philippines we can purchase S&R New York Style Pizza without being a membership and they have restaurants available in the mall or near a grocery store. S&R is just like the membership wholesale buying like in the United States called, Costco. S&R sells the same type of food carried in Costco in the United States. They also offer food coming from other countries. When I feel like eating clam chowder coming from the US I always just buy it from S&R and eating one cup can fill up my cravings. S&R New York Style Pizza can be delivered from your own home from Food Panda buy purchasing online.

Hokkaido Ramen Santouka

Today, we had no school due to the taal volcano as we are walking around U.P. Town Center you will notice lots of people are wearing mask to prevent inhaling the air. The weather is drizzling and I am wearing a rain coat to prevent getting sick while other people are passing by me with no jacket. My eye’s we’re everywhere when I saw so many places to eat and couldn’t decide where to eat. My stomach was already growling and I needed to think fast to build back my strength. I came across and found something I decided to eat at that I have never tried before I figure this is my chance to write it up and put it in my blog. This restaurant reminded me when I had traveled in Japan in my previous years. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is not just a ramen restaurant they have different type of Japanese to choose from and I was able to check it out for myself. My tummy has a happy camper. For my appetizers I was able to try my favorite Kurobuta Gyoza with black pork dumplin...

Popeye Chicken located in the Philippines

Popeye chicken has always been popular when I use to live back home in California. I would always eat there with my family or friends. Now, there are a lot of branches opened in the Philippines since last year 2019. The lines have been very long to get your own bucket of chicken. Every time there is a new fast food chain that comes from the States everyone are very curious to try it and wait for hours to get their food. One hour waiting in line to purchase your order is well worth it. The taste is exactly like back home. Here is their website to find the branch opened in your area: http://popeyes.ph/ Now you can order Popeye from Grab Food which is the best possible way in your situation at the moment of your lockdown in the Philippines. Note: Carmina is not selling or advertising for   Popeye Chicken located in the Philippines just a place where we order our food.

Bad Experience Flying

I am not sure if I am the only one has encountered a bad experience when flying out from Manila or any other country. I have several stories to share with you that have happened in the past. Story # 1 : During this time, we're riding Business Class from Philippine Airlines heading to San Francisco. Our plane had problems with the engine and was told it would be repaired enough time for us to fly. It ended up waiting so long our flight was postponed during the next day. There we're other passengers complaining because they had to attend a meeting and other couldn't control them being impatient. Philippine Airlines was offering us a hotel accommodation, but I figure I would rather get picked up by the driver and return back the next day. I had emailed my sister to inform her that our flight was postponed. Story # 2 : My mom and I were leaving for Amsterdam. My mom was already having a bad day. I remember my mom had already converted our currency ...

Shopee Online Shopping

Shopee was launch in Singapore and was expanded in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines. That is why when you shop here you mostly see items in these four countries.  By, now you are probably wondering what is Shopee that I keep talking about in my blog? Shopee has been the popular application I have been using from my phone over two years. My friend Yann was the one who had introduced me to online shopping that gets delivered to your home from cash on delivery or you pay ahead. I prefer COD short cut from cash on delivery. Filipino Tradition

There goes a saying that the Filipino people love giving pasalubong (gifts) when they are traveling or returning back from their country. No matter what there is always something people expect from you even if you have only been away for a short time. It is a custom where we always seem to buy something memorable from our trip. I have relatives that come from the States and they always have a pasalubong to give me no matter if I am also from there. To us it is way to show is gratitude to each other. I have a close friend from the States she always ask me why I always give her a gift even if it is not her birthday. I just said, just because I want too. It is not like she is obligated to give me a gift in return. We have different means to express ourselves not by words but to give them something we feel they would like coming from our home town. Just like when I travel to another country I always have something for my employees it just shows something to them they took...
