Steel Cut Oats

Carmina has been eating oatmeal for quite awhile but have tried certain types of oatmeal to test to see which ones she has liked the best.

Did you know there are so many types of oatmeal in the market?

Carmina will explain the ones that have a different type of texture but all being healthy for you.

The new discover is Steel Cut Oats which the texture is rich taste eating real oats in your mouth. Carmina was able to purchase Australia Harvest Vegan Steel Cut Oats for PHP 175.00 ($3.43) 500 grams.

In the beginning we are not use to eating a different type of oatmeal where we need to adjust ourselves from the texture.

Carmina was able to cook it in her rice cooker not having Manang V cook it for her on the stove top.

You will be adding milk/water which Carmina had tested by making half cup than the suggested amount of one cup of steel oats.

Carmina added three cups of water because she had notice the steel cut oats were too dry. Carmina doesn't like her steel cut oats dry she prefers them to have liquid.

Cooking her steel cut oats in the rice cooker was almost cooking rice where it tends to drink all the liquid while being cooked up.

After it has been cooked you can transfer to a serving bowl add any ingredients you feel you want to add to your steel cut oats.

Carmina felt she was eating wheat bread from the texture coming by eating it slowly up for something she need to get use too.

Sometimes we need to set our mind and adapt ourselves eating something new.

Slowly when we are use to eating the steel oats it will be exactly the same feeling eating your oatmeal daily.
