Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Each order comes in its own green plastic bag with a table...

Hawaiian BBQ and Roasted Chicken Mojo Sandwich

Carmina is craving for Hawaiian food that she often gets the chance to eat in America a place she grew up.

The most common food in the Philippines to eat anything close to eating Hawaiian food is consist from Hawaiian pizza that is locally made in our area or hamburger that has a pineapple inside to make it sound tropical.

Carmina went to dig deeper to find something else that carried Hawaiian barbecue to say she is really eating Authentic Hawaiian food.

Carmina found a little of what she is looking for at Peach Boy Restaurant where she was able to find Hawaiian BBQ and Roasted Chicken Mojo Sandwich from Grab application where I always use to order my food directly finding a rider to have it picked it up being delivered to my location.

Food has arrived from Peach Boy Restaurant coming in a paper bag. The Hawaiian BBQ comes in an individual plastic container kind of like a bento type where it is divided with your Hawaiian BBQ Chicken with the sauce, white rice and kimchi for PHP 210.00 ($4.20).

Guess what there is even a dessert that came along with my meal wrapped in aluminum foil it's that cool and unexpected well to any nationality a meal without a dessert is not a full meal is what my sister has told me when I visit her in California.

You have to make room for dessert if you're with my sister.

In Carmina's world I don't have room for dessert I will eat it later when I get hungry and set aside place it in a plastic container and put in the refrigerator.

I figure since the transportation from Grab application was additional PHP 150.00 for the rider. I felt buying one meal seem a waste.

I had ordered their Roasted Chicken Mojo Sandwich that is Cuban Style with cheddar cheese, pickles and mojo sauce that is on the side in a ciabatta bread with fries and ketchup solo size PHP 250.00 ($5.00) for the big size is additional PHP 50.00 ($1.00).
