Filipino Langka is made from jack fruit it is cooked with gata which is coconut milk. Often our employees eat this has their meal with matching fried fish of your choice.
Filipino Langka Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 10 pieces small shrimp (peel and remove head)
- 3 pieces garlic (minced)
- 2 kilo langka young jack fruit (chopped)
- 3 pieces coconut or 5 cups of gata (coconut)
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- Patis (fish sauce) depends on your taste
- 2 pieces green chili pepper
- 1 Onion (chopped)
Cooking Method:
- 2 tbs cooking oil placed in medium pot
- Saute garlic and onion
- Add shrimp, langka, green chili pepper, gata and seasoning
- Mix together as you are cooking
- Fully cook for 30 minutes until tender and soft
