When the longing for authentic Pinoy dishes strikes in the U.S., Isla Grand stands ready to transport your taste buds back to the Philippines.

Carmina is traveling to the United States to spend time with her family. My dad planned a family gathering for Mother's Day at their favorite Pinoy restaurant . Since reservations aren’t possible, we arrived an hour early to ensure we could get a table for twelve before everyone else showed up. As my dad approached Isla Grand , the branch we visited in Pleasant Hills, California , the host at the door said they could prepare a table for twelve at five o'clock. Later, the server called my dad's name and guided us to our table. The place was bustling with people enjoying meals and celebrating Mother's Day. On our first visit to Isla Grand, I was captivated by the décor, noticing many native items that gave the place a fancy yet authentic Filipino feel. They usually have a live band, but unfortunately, there was no entertainment the night we went. My family had spoken highly of Isla Grand and encouraged us to try the Filipino dishes we’ve been missing from back home. Lech...

Carmina's Easy Air Fryer Grilled Salmon Recipe

Carmina went shopping at Farmers Market in Cubao, Quezon City with Mom Violy.

For the first time I decided to purchase some fresh salmon. I had no clue how much it would cost and found out the price per kilo is 800 pesos.

I asked the seller if they can sell it for me half kilo of 400.00 pesos. The person asked how it wanted sliced and how thick.

They offered to have it fillet or sliced. I requested it to be sliced since no clue how I was planning to cook it at that time.

My first cooking with my air flyer is grilled salmon.

I have read a lot of tips online saying when using the air fryer there should be space inside when using the air fryer.

My salmon pieces are quite big no room to put two pieces inside.

Carmina's Easy Air Fryer Grilled Salmon Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Fresh Sliced Salmon (clean, season with salt and black pepper)
  • Olive Oil
Air Fryer:
  1. Before placing the sliced salmon inside the air fryer, I had rubbed small amount of olive oil on both sides.
  2. Place the setting on Fish set on air fryer.
  3. For my air fryer the setting says it is 200 for 12 minutes to be fully cooked.
  4. Timer will beep letting you know it is cooked I used my mittens to open the door and have a plate with spatula to put the salmon on my serving plate.

Tip:

Use a fork to find out if the salmon is already cooked and it should smell in your air fryer.
