See Iloilo’s best landmarks up close this January — history, culture, and photo-perfect moments.

Mom Violy, Tita Edna and Carmina have never been to Iloilo . Tita Edna suggested using her Philippine Airlines mileage to deduct 9,000 miles for a round trip to Iloilo and pay taxes of about 3,000 pesos ($50.85). Mom Violy and Carmina decided to do the same. Two weeks later, we learned Bacolod was recently hit by a typhoon, leaving fewer places to visit, so we changed our plans to stay in Iloilo, paying an additional 2,057 pesos ($34.86) for January 6–9, with Tita Edna leaving one day earlier on January 8, 2026.  Tita Edna told us that she has a friend Beth who can pick us up from the airport. Uniparentally plans had changed since her friend Beth and son could no longer tour us around, we decided to find ways to get around hire someone else. Mom Violy's Documents Being Notarized in the Philippines

Mom Violy wanted her best friend Lorie to be one of her witnesses to have a document notarized in the Philippines while she was in town.

Carmina was the second witness and in order to begin this process make sure you have an identification card with your picture on it.

Accepted Identification:

  1. Driver's License in the Philippines
  2. Filipino Passport
  3. Senior Card
On our way bringing back Auntie Lorie back to her residence Mom Violy kept asking us to look out for a notary public to have everything signed in front of a lawyer.

Not knowing anything in the area of Las Pinas we are looking out from the car window of Mom Violy few minutes passed Carmina saw one and informed the driver to stop the car.

Mom Violy said to Carmina your eyes are too sharp from a far you can see it.

To get the Address of Atty Pablo U. Domingo Jr. the CPA/Lawyer make sure you have a face mask allowing only four persons inside.

The lawyer will ask you to present your Identification card to scan and print a copy. They will also scan the documents that needs to notarize for you to sign with the witness present at the time.

Make sure you bring your own ballpen otherwise you can use what they have available.

Later you'll be asked to wait for the lawyer to write on the documents and sealed it with a stamp giving back your documents to you with a payment of PHP 2,000.00 ($34.00).

Just in case you don't have a witness present the fee is different.

Best part we're able to get everything signed since the office close at 5 o'clock on the weekdays.
