When Mom Violy spotted Crisostomo’s handwritten menu, something in her chest lit up: home-style lumpia, sinigang steaming in clay pots—could this be the comfort food she’d been missing?

Carmina informed Mom Violy that she would visit her home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She asked if Mom Violy wanted to go out for lunch and mentioned needing to do some grocery shopping due to an upcoming big storm. Mom Violy suggested trying Crisostomo, a Filipino restaurant inside Robinsons Magnolia. Carmina forwarded the menu for her to choose what she wanted to eat, while Carmina already knew her order. Dine Out with Top Fan Auntie Lorie at Great Emperor Restaurant

On our California vacation this year Mom Violy and Carmina had plans to visit Top Fan Lorie in Seattle unexpected plans changed.

Top Fan Lorie had informed us she'll be visiting her family in the Philippines on the month of September to October.

We figured since we cannot see each other in the United States we can always catch up a bite to eat at Dampa.

Mom Violy and Carmina had planned our meet up making easier on her we went closer to her area.

Reality is Mom Violy and Lorie have been friends for quite a while since I was young.

Aunt Lorie said she was craving for seafood. Mom Violy suggested Dampa.

Great Emperor is what someone recommended us to try. They serve Chinese and Fiipino dishes.

Mom Violy went to the market to purchase some crabs and Maya Maya fish.

Carmina waited for Auntie Lorie to arrive.

Our large crab was cooked with butter and garlic.

Mom Violy met some new friends also coming from the United States visiting their home town.

Just in case you want to try eating at Great Emperor recommended is to get smaller size crabs and fish cooked for stew rather than what Mom Violy shopped at the market.

Here is their menu:

About to leave Carmina took a picture who had assist us with our order.
