After doing errands with the family my dad wanted to eat Vietnamese food in the area of Fremont . My dad brought us to Pho Lan Noodles House for our lunch. We all decided to eat one of our favorite Vietnamese dishes. We had ordered some appetizers fried wanton and fried chicken with fish sauce . My dad had ordered Lemongrass chicken include with rice and salad in his meal but was already full when he had eaten his wife's meal. She had ordered the Chicken Banh Mi and chicken clear soup. I wanted to try their Pork Banh Mi sandwich and requested no jalapeno pepper on it. The sandwich is quite big had to slice it in the middle and the remaining was for takeout. The filling of the pork was a lot of serving soft and tender had a lot of flavoring. The bread was also soft even if it was toasted. Family members had ordered the Garlic Chow Mein with Shrimp . You start to realize the prices of vegetables are going up it is time to be practical in growing vegetables in your garden and every summer we usually start planting more vegetables in our garden and by the time it start growing we have more vegetables to eat.
In the Philippines we also have a farm that is planted by our employee that has a green thumb and every week we have a person bringing it to our home.
We have the following vegetables that we no longer need to buy at the public market and can be consumed at home and to give the family members.

Ampalaya (bitter gourd)
Petchay
String Beans
Malunggay
Pandan Leaves
Okra
Tomato
Upo
Chayote
Bok Choy
Patola
Langka (jack fruit)
We get our seeds from a nursery where you can purchase it as well we ask people who traveled to another country if they can buy us vegetable seeds.
I have also bought them online so we can plant in our home and so far we have no problem planting it.
