Carmina was craving shrimp ala king, but instead of buying it at a restaurant, decided to make her own at home since she already had some ingredients. I normally make bacon carbonara decided to change the recipe around since my main ingredient is shrimp. Shrimp Ali King Recipe Ingredient: 1/2 Kilo - Fresh Shrimp (peel shrimp, remove intestine and head) 1 - Nestle Cream 2 - Tbsp Butter 2 - Tbsp Minced Garlic 1 - Cup Canned Corn (drain liquid) 1 - Knorr Shrimp Cube Black Pepper Salt Garlic Powder MSG (optional) Spaghetti noodles Parsley Flakes (optional) Marinate the Shrimp by season it with black pepper, salt, garlic powder and msg set aside. Cooking instructions: Follow the instructions on the spaghetti package to cook the amount you plan to eat. Sauce Cooking instructions: In a pot, melt the butter over low heat, then add the shrimp. Once the shrimp turn pink, add the corn and garlic, and sauté. Pour in the Nestle cream and mix until it begins to simmer, then add the shrimp cube ...
There are two ways to eat this the naked way or wrapped up in what they call it vegetable lumpia.
Vegetable Lumpia Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 Cups - Bean sprouts
- 1/2 Cup - Small Shrimps (clean, remove head and shell)
- 4 Cloves - Garlic (chopped)
- 1 Medium - Onion (chopped)
- 1 Cup - Carrots (peel and shredded)
- 1 Cup - String beans (sliced thinly)
- 1 Cup - Sweet Potatoe (peel and shredded) - optional
- 1 Cup - Jicama (cubed) - optional
- 3 Tbs - Patis
- Salt to taste
- Black Pepper to taste
- Lumpia Wrapper
- Cooking Oil
- Vinegar - Dipping Sauce
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1:
- In a pot heat cooking oil add garlic, onion and saute.
- Add the carrot, string beans, sweet potatoe, jicama and bean sprouts.
- Season with patis, salt and black pepper.
- Mix together.
You plan to eat it naked it is ready to eat but if you plan to wrap it up in a lumpia wrapper you will set it aside.
Wrapping Lumpia Instructions:
Step 1:
- Place one piece of lumpia wrapper on a plate scoop 2 tablespoon of the vegetable filling wrapped it up and seal with water on the end of the tip of the wrapper.
- Do the same until you finish up the vegetable filling.
Frying Instructions:
Step 1:
- Heat in a pan with cooking oil until hot add the vegetable lumpia in the pan cook both sides.
- Place the cooked vegetable lumpia on a strainer to drain the oil.
- Set on a serving plate.
Choice of Dipping Sauce:
- Vinegar with minced garlic
- Vinegar with soy sauce and garlic
- Vinegar
