It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Kalabasa is a favorite vegetable cooked in our home by Manang V who decide which dish she plans to serve us by her creation made daily in our home.
This is an easy soup to make as your comfort food when there are days you feel lazy and just want to eat soup for the day like our days when it has been raining, we want something warm in our stomach.
Kalabasa with Shredded Chicken Soup
Ingredients:
- 1/2 - Kalabasa squash (peel, remove seeds and slice into cubes)
- 1 - Cup Shredded chicken
- 2 - Cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 - Onion (chopped)
- 1 - Knorr Chicken Cube
- 3 - Cup Water
Cooking Instructions:
- In a pot pour small amount of cooking oil when hot add garlic, onion sauté together add shredded chicken and water.
- Add chicken cube and let it dissolve in the water until it is boiled
- Add kalabasa once tender it is ready to be served in a bowl
