It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. I love eating Vietnamese dishes and
come across cooking it at home. It is easy to make pho soup just like what you
eat in any Vietnamese Restaurant.
Broth: (8 Cups)
The best part in making the
Vietnamese pho soup at home you can add anything your heart desire from the
following: shrimp, chicken breast, beef top sirloin and pork.
Broth: (8 Cups)
- Chicken
- Beef Bone
- Pork Bone
The main ingredient is the following:
- 1 Onion (cut in half)
- 5 Slices of Ginger
- 1 Tbs Salt
- 2 1/2 Tbs Fish Sauce
- 1 package of vermicelli sotanghon noodles
- 1 Lime (cut in 4 wedges) or Lemon
- 1 1/2 cups bean sprouts
- 1 Tbs green onion (chopped)
- 1/2 cup cilantro (chopped)
Preparing the broth:
Step 1:
- Preparing the broth cook the choice of meat in a pot
with 8 cups of water.
- Add slice of onion, ginger to add taste to your broth
- Let it boil until meat is fully cooked.
- Set aside and let it cool.
Step 2:
- Remove the meat from the broth and strain
- Place in a Tupperware and place in the refrigerator
- All the fat will go up and remove it and throw it away
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1:
- Place the vermicelli sotanghon noodles in a bowl with
water soak inside
- Strain water and set aside
Step 2:
- In a medium pot pour broth
- Add your choice of meat
- Add fish sauce, salt
- Let it boil
Step 3:
Preparing the serving bowl per
person:
- Each bowl will have a small amount of vermicelli
sotanghon noodles
Step 4:
Preparing side dishes per person:
- Use a small saucer plate
- Add a small amount of bean sprouts
- Add cilantro
- 1 slice of lime/lemon
- Place this on the table
Ready to eat:
- Add the broth along with the Step 3 and add Step 4 to
your pho soup.
- Best served hot
