When Mom Violy wanted seafood, one name kept popping up: Breakthrough Restaurant. Would it live up to the hype?

After a road trip and exploring the area, Mom Violy requested some seafood and was given a recommendation to dine at  Breakthrough Restaurant . When we entered the restaurant, we saw it was bustling with customers, and Mom Violy asked for a table by the window to enjoy the beach view . The server informed us that we needed to place our order at the counter and choose the seafood to be weighed, similar to the process at Dampa . Tita Edna was busy snapping photos, while Carmina was filming as Mom Violy placed her order. Breakthrough isn’t air-conditioned, but they provide electric fans at your table for comfort. Mom Violy wanted sinigang and was deciding which kind of fish to have with her soup. Mom Violy requested the crab and shrimp to be cooked in butter and garlic. Mom Violy also ordered adobong pusit (squid). Tita Edna placed her own order, which was kilawin na dilis . Carmina wanted fresh lumpia , but since it wasn’t available, she opted for pinakbet instead. Easy Mexican Taco Cup Salad Recipe




I did more exploring for New Year's Eve I have family members who are watching on their diet and prefer to eat a salad than a taco itself. I came out buying a taco salad cup found in the grocery store.


No need to heat up the shell it is ready to eat.

I found refined beans in Uni Mart Grocery store.


You may look for my ground meat and salsa recipe for your reference to add on to your own taco salad cup.

You may also look into my homemade guacamole recipe.

Just like in the picture shown I had displayed mine as you are supposed to make your own salad to prevent the shell soggy and stay crispy.

This way someone can make their own salad cup on what they wanted to put inside.

Ingredient:
  • Homemade salsa
  • Homemade Taco Ground Meat
  • Arla Tex Mex Shredded Cheese (any cheese)
  • Sour Cream
  • Guacamole
  • Romaine lettuce (wash and cut the in 2 inches size)
  • Canned refined beans (optional)
  • Jalapenos (optional)
  • Hot Sauce

Step 1:
  • In a flat platter plate the romaine lettuce
  • In a small separate bowl place, the sour cream, salsa, refined beans, cheese and guacamole
Step 2:
Assemble the taco salad cup
  • Use three pieces lettuce place inside taco salad cup
  • Add ground meat of your choice
  • Add refined beans
  • Add salsa
  • Add sour cream
  • Add guacamole
  • Add shredded cheese
  • Add jalapenos 
  • Add hot sauce
