Did you know there is a meat slicer for canned goods? There are some people who would like perfect slices when cooking a meal. Those who are in a hurry Carmina found something quick and easy to use. Carmina found a luncheon stainless meat slicer something similar with an egg slicer. Carmina made her purchase from  Rose Underwear Shop  Online Shopee for 80.00 pesos ($1.40) not including shipping and handling. All you need is remove the luncheon meat from the can and place it on top making sure the slicer is open by moving the blade up. Close the lid which is the stainless-steel blade slice the luncheon meat. It is easier if you're using both hands however were able to do it using one hand while taking the video. NOT SPONSORED. Filipino Sinigang (Tamarind) Soup Recipe


Sinigang can be cooked from shrimp, pork, salmon and bangus (milk fish).

Portion of the type of meat or seafood you choose from:

Pork or pork ribs cut into cubes
500 g - Shrimp trim the whiskers
Salmon or salmon belly cut into 1 1/2 inch per piece
Bangus or boneless bangus (milk fish) 1/2 kg cut into 2 inches

Main Ingredient:
  • 2 cups - Kangkong leaves
  • 3 pieces - Long green chili peppers
  • 2 pieces tomato cut quartered
  • 1 cup radish
  • 10 pieces string beans cut in to 2 inches
  • 1 piece onion cut quartered
  • 15 pieces okra remove the top portion
  • 2 pieces taro cut into half (gabi) - optional
  • 8 cups water
  • 1 large package of Knorr Sinigang mix
  • 3 tablespoon fish sauce (patis)
  • 2 pieces eggplant cut in the middle lengthwise and cut into 2 inches 
  • cooking oil
Step 1:
  • In a pot pour small amount of cooking oil
  • Add the onion and tomato sauté
  • Add patis
  • Add the water to the pot wait till it boils
  • Add the item you have decided to eat either the shrimp, pork ribs or fish
  • Boil for twenty- five minutes
Step 2:
  • Add the taro (gabi), radish, string beans, eggplant, long green chili pepper and okra
  • Cook for thirty minute
Step 3:
  • Add the Sinigang mix
  • Mix well
  • Add the kangkong and cover the lid
  • Cook for 10 minutes
Ready to serve.
