Carmina's dad was craving for Vietnamese and wanted to bring his family have a meal. We are in the area of Brentwood, my dad remembered he used to dine in at  CreAsian Wok 'n Roll . Upon entering there we're a lot of customers and the person asked how many we are seated at the table. The server handed us a menu asked us what we would like to drink. They brought out pitcher of iced water with glasses for us to pour our own water. My dad ordered a grilled lemongrass chicken combo with egg, shrimp, and an egg roll . Family member ordered basil leaf with chicken and garlic rice . Another family member had ordered a large Creation Special soup to share with everyone. Filipino Spinach Salad Recipe



There is nothing simpler than having a spinach salad that you can combined it with tomato, onion and salted egg to you dish when eating fried fish to your meal.

We always want to add something to eat with our fried fish to make our meal complete other than just eating it alone.

It is possible to use kangkong in exchange to spinach if it is not available in your area.

Filipino Spinach Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 - Bundle Spinach or Kangkong (clean and remove leaves) 
  • 3 - Ripe Tomato (sliced)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1 - Salted Egg (chopped) - Optional
Salad Dressing Ingredients:
  • 1/2 Cup - Vinegar
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Tsp - Calamanis juice or Lemon
Cooking Instructions:
  • In a pot boil water and add the spinach or kangkong cook for a few minutes and drain the water place on a serving plate
  • Add tomato, onions and salted egg
  • In a serving bowl combine all ingredients of the dressing together mix well 
  • Ready to eat
Note:

There are some people who prefer to eat it with bagoong all depends on your taste buds rather than the salad dressing.
